Hey there !

Sorry I have been busy since 1 year to creating a new brand , its call Govou Fabrics

Well first of all I gave birth to the baby boy 1 year ago , and after-all we moved to the countryside, the lovely Catalan Toscana , ( CostaBrava) We are extremely happy, and creative here !!

Ever-since I started to doing linen - leather bags, clutches, reversible totes.

So have a look and let me know what you think , im open for any kinda opinion :)

My Govou Boy :)

This linen bag made out of a old linen fabric from Hungary :

Over 100 years ago, Hungarian brides-to-be used to hand sew linen and other materials as a dowry (hozomány in Hungarian) for their future husbands. Women who had more fabrics were considered richer. What we do at GOVOU is to reinterpret the use of these fabrics.

Here is my first publication in the BEANDLIFE Magazine :)

How to Paint Fabric ¨ armchair ¨- using Autentico chalpaint

I’ve heard people say you can paint fabric with autentico chalk board paint, but never did I believe it would actually work , till i tried out :)

I bought this  furniture  1 year ago at a flea market in Barcelona, actually was only 20 euro, I didnt liked the fabric at all, so i decided to sew a cover and a pillow..  after 1 year i was getting bored of it , so i decided to try to paint it .
I checked the website of i found loads of amazing colors .. finally i choose the yellow and the grey color.

First - spray a little water on them, you know like you do if you’re going to paint concrete, and that would keep them from soaking up so much paint.

Second - paint the fabric  2 -3 times

Then I took them outside and set them in the sun to dry.  I also wanted to see if the paint would crack in the heat.  Guess what….it didn’t.
Finally i painted with autentico furniture wax

So there you have it.

It truly looks like an expensive leather armchair :)
And the final touch , i sew a pillow from 100 years old antic french fabric...
What do you think ?

Concrete xmas candle holder project

This project is so easy I don’t even know what to say about it. You basically need a milk carton and some concrete mix. Cut along the side to make a flap lid and cut out holes large enough for the candles to fit inside.

You can basically use anything  and fill it with concrete, even a plastic bottle.
